Product Overview
GREEF NEW ENERGY GDG Series Disc Type Permanent Magnet Generator features a unique coreless design where the spindle and rotor are arranged in a disc shape. The stator is fixed at the center while rotors spin on both sides, with the spindle containing only windings and no iron core.
Both stator and rotor adopt a flat disc structure using axial air gap magnetic flux, alternately positioned along the axial direction. The short axial length combined with wide diameter allows for multi-pole configuration, resulting in high power-to-mass ratio, low operational speed, and ability to start at low wind speeds.
The GDG series offers compact size, low energy consumption, lightweight construction, and high efficiency, making it ideal for direct-drive vertical axis wind turbines. Available in outer rotor (stationary shaft, rotating casing) and inner rotor (rotating shaft, stationary casing) variants.
